I don't have the pain all the time, but last night when I reached across my body with my right arm to grab something I had a sharp pain in my lat. When I moved back the pain subsided quickly. I have also exprienced the sharp pain when going down stairs at a fast rate. It is typically more intense when this occurs.

Is it just a pull or something? Never exprienced anything like this before.

Thanks,

Og.

I actually have something very similar I was just going to ask about. I have had an on/off sharp pain in my lower right lat for the last few years. Right where my lat and ribs seem to meet.

It doesn't always show up, but when it does, I have to stop what I'm doing because I literally have so much pain it makes it hard to move, especially bending over. I don't get it when I don't exercise. But, when I do exercise it doesn't get aggravated consistently or by any specific exercise.

I'm worried it is a tear of some sort. I would think a pull or strain would have healed up by now. Or it is a rib poking me. Is your pain the same type of thing?

Edit: My pain will normally quickly subside in a few minutes if I sit still and I can go back to working out. Last night it didn't for 30 - 45 minutes.
