I've had shoulder problems for probably 2 years. 4 months ago my Doc give me a cortisone shot in my left (which was the worst) shoulder. It felt better almost immmediately and I haven't had a bit of pain or discomfort since. I went back and just had my right one shot. OMG it hurt like a bastard for about 24 hours and then improved (Doc told me that may happen). However it still isn't any better than it was when I went in there (5 days now). He told me it seemed alot tighter than my other one and may need a second shot in a week or so if it wasn't markedly improved. I'm kind of wondering if I should go back for another shor or not. Anyone have a cortisone shot hurt like heck for a day or so? Wondering if he maybe missed the target or if he's being on the up and up with me. I have faith in this guy but sometimes it doesn't hurt to ask around. Any opinions?

What you experienced is a cortisone flare. Not uncommon and yes, it hurts quite a bit. Two shots in two weeks seems a bit frequent though--but I don't know why you're getting them in the first place, so I'm not going to be the one to say that it's 'wrong'.
