I posted a little while back asking for advice about my patellofemoral pain and got some great feedback from Bill and bryanc. After implementing your advice (including bryan's drop squat program) as well as some other ideas I found on the web, I'm doing a lot better. Last weekend I did a long trail run/hike on a hilly path that would have really beat up my knees before, but I had no pain during or after. This was after about 5 weeks on the drop squat program + my other work (improved warm-ups, new shoes, etc.) I don't know if it was one element or a combination that did the trick, but I'm really happy.

Many thanks,
Jake

And I should add--the week before I climbed a 20,000 foot mountain (16 hours of hiking/climbing over 2 days) with no knee pain. Amazing.
