A long time ago I injured my shoulder(seperated it). I was sent to a physical therapist (who stunk, he actually gave me tendonitis in my other shoulder). I have always wondered this. One of the rehab exercises he had me do was on the stair stepper machine. I would be on my knees with the pedals of the stair stepper around my chest level. I would place my hands on the stepper pedals and then push down on them. Is this an appropriate rehabilitative exercise for this circumstance or any circumstance for that matter? It actually hurt pretty bad (but being young and dumb I never questioned him about it). Just curious!
