Just as soon as I brag to you on the phone that my shoulder has been doing so well in this last cycle of training my shoulder starts aching so much that I have to schedule a doctor's appt. Here's the sad thing. I don't think it is anything really bad. I will probably get a cortizone shot, although I don't think that is really what I need. I think I just need some ART, ice, alleve, and rest. I have been doing 3 of those things, but I can't get the ART here in LR.
Here's the problem. I have no problem under a bench or doing low row. What I can't do though is fasten my seatbelt. Reaching across my body is excruciating! Also, taking off my shirt by crossing my hands in front of my and pulling the shirt up and over my head is really painful. Seems like a pretty specific little injury. I have stopped doing lateral raise, although the pain I feel from it is minor and my strength doesn't seem to be any less on it... It does seem to have an effect on how my shoulder feels later that evening though.
So Bill... Lay your hands on me and HEAL my shoulder! Amen! Hallelujah!
