I've seen enough good posts about ART here that I'm interested in looking into it -- can anyone recommend someone in the Central Arkansas area? Thanks.

You can search on www.activerelease.com. If you can't find one on there. Go to the contact page and call them directly. Not all practitioners are available in the search.

Bro, I've looked and unless someone has been added recently, there are none. I believe that the closest was Memphis. A little too far to drive even for a shoulder!

This may be some help... There is another version of ART called "British Sports Therapy" which is technically identical to ART, although it was simultaneously pioneered by a Brit named Stewart Taas. Apparently there are a few practicioners here in LR, but having had some treatments from them and having had some from Bill, they are pretty helpful but there is really no comparison between treatments. Bill's treatment was the best by far, but I suspect that he is probably above the bar even compared to other ART people because of his background in physical therapy (sorry to talk about you so much in the 3rd person with you in the room with us, Bill... I know that's rude!). A place in LR called "Touching America" in Hillcrest (on Kavanaugh) has a few therapists trained in this modality, so if you turn up no leads on ART people, give them a call.

Good luck!

Thanks -- my sister is actually trained in British sports therapy (through Touching America, no less). I thought ART sounded kind of like the same thing. And yeah, I think probably the drive to and from Memphis would erase any benefits of the treatment I'd get while there! Oh well....
