I reaggravated my lower back (3rd time this year) monday morning doing ME box squat. I initially injured it 3-4 years ago. i have never gotten it checked out, but now i'm considering it.

the pain: feels like my lower back is burning. both legs go a little numb, but mainly my left thigh. took me 5 minutes to get out of bed to turn off the alarm this morning (that was painful (my back) & loud (my alarm clock) i must say). can't bend down. i am also walking funny so people are laughing at me & poking me with sticks.

i mainly want to know what the problem is, so an x-ray i guess is what i'm thinking. i know this pain will diminish in a week or 2...it always does. but if a chiro or ARTie can help realign something (if needed) then that would be nice.

i've for the moment stopped the weights. this will be day to day.

my question: who should i go to? a back specialist (med. doc), a chiro or an ART specialist? any thoughts/suggestions?

thanks,
Darrell
