I was curling a good bit of weight, 5 reps, and on the last rep my right wrist felt like it just about give out. I felt a pop (weird to explain) and i put the weight back down quickly. I can move it up and down but it hurts like crap whenever i use any weight, even curling 10 lbs. Especially hurts trying a reverse curl.

I can push weight with little pain(bench press, for example), but whenever i try to pull any weight (power cleans, chin-ups) it hurts like crap. Should i just not do anything for a week? What happened? By the way i injured it today and just did a light workout afterwards to see what i could do. Anything i can do to strengthen my wrist after it heals?

hey,

i did the same thing about a month ago
i just bandaged my hand up so that i didn't use it unneccisaryly and i have full range back in it

i just did some cardio stuff for a week or so before introducing some light lifting

i would be interested in finding out what it is

but there is hope on the horizon

best of luck with the recovery

Did you have swelling? If yes, how much? Do you notice any deformities/differences when you compare the injured wrist to your uninjured one?

No, there was no swelling, and its slowly getting better but seems like its never gonna be 100 %. Theres just some things i cant do. Cant curl a lot of weight with a straight bar without discomfort, though i can curl with dumbbells. I figure because they allow for internal rotation. It still hurts whenever i try to grab something really tight, for example squeezing a pad or football. I guess i'll keep doing what im doing and hope i dont re-injure it somewhere because i seem to forget about it when playing football or wrestling with friends and i'll get a nice shot of pain in my wrist. Thanks for the responses.
