Some days, my left tricep seems to "pop." It only happens certain days, with certain exercises. It doesn't hurt, but it a sort of achy feeling like a nuckle that needs to be cracked.

I have considered that it might be that my tris are not stretched out enough, or warmed up enough, considering it only happens some days.

Any advice?

Tough call...doubtful it's an issue of the triceps not being "stretched out enough". I'm guessing it usually happens in the extreme stretch position?

Does it disappear after you've done a number of sets?

If not, it may be one of those little unique things about you, your tendons, and the shape of your elbow joint. It could be the result of overuse. It's just really hard to say.

However, if it causes even the slightest bit of discomfort, I would avoid the movements that reproduce it as it could potentially turn into "something".

Yes Bill, it usually happens when my arms are stretched out. I noticed it happens with: Overhead pressing (shoulder pressing), sometimes when i bench, and skull crushers on a decline.

I also noticed when i do DB Shoulder presses, if i move my hands more inward as i raise the weight, they "pop" more, as if i keep my hands shoulder width or wider, they don't pop.

I was thinking is was just something little. Like a bone that always pops or something.

and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the number of sets. Sometimes it happens early in the workout, sometimes later....
