Default Any experience with this device?

*Back story* A friend of mine has severe pain associated with a mugging that left her with multiple traumas, including several vertebrae having to be fused together and several other surgeries.

Anyway, one of the pain clinics prescribed her this type of acupuncture device and she gave me one of them.

Here is a link to a site about them . . .http://www.acuhealth.com.au/about.html

Anybody have any experience with them??? I have used it a few times and it really seems to help BUT I don't want to doing something that is somehow destructive.

What say you????

Yep, that's a TENS machine. They were used on me at two different physical therapists. An asian medicine-oriented one, and then at Kaiser. They're pretty mainstream, but you would probably have to be trained in them. I think.

I didn't really notice that it made much difference with me.

it doesnt require training and is harmless. Provides pain releif only, not healing.

They are frequently used by those with acute back pain esp nerve pain, and also by pregnant women in labour

cheap and easy - worth a try!
