Question does good calves, mean weaker quads?

I have always had strong/well defined calves, even without working out or anything. They are defined enough to where its fairly common for total strangers to come up and ask me what exercises I do in order to get them that way.

They look like little guppy bellies.

Anyway, but also I have noticed that everytime I do any type of strenuous activity with my legs (workout) that my the front of my thighs are incredibly sore and stay sore for an extended period.

Honestly, I can still be hobbling a week after a good leg workout, and when I start lifting they just pretty much stay sore. If I am actively working out, they have never *not* be sore that I know of.

So, is it b/c my legs are a unbalanced? with my calves being strong has it weakened my quads?

Just curious
