Default hmm worth a shot

Not sure if anybody will reply, here i go anyway ;-)

Basically, when i rest, say lying on the couch at home or in bed, my R knee feels, for want of a better word, empty.

That is the best way I can describe it, and to go more indepth just leads me to start using words that dont fully match the feeling. A little emptiness in the middle of my knee.

Anybody?

Im training hard right now, a lot of endurance work outdoors with a pack on, as well as kickboxing twice a week, so i am basically waiting for an injury right now, is this one?

:-)

It could be mild chondromalacia (runners knee) where the patella doesn't quite track right. I had a case of it and noticed it more when I sat than when I ran. My doctor called it "theater knee" because the pressure builds up when you rest it.

I also have night legs. Is the "emptyness" associated with any need to twitch your legs?

Lol, im "twitching" my R leg now at work as i read this, thinking about it, I have started doing that a lot recently, could that be it?

Im talking about the annoying thing you see people do when they are impatient/annoyed.

When I get what I call "night legs," but others usually call "restless legs syndrome," it's kind of an uncontrollable urge to twitch. More than just burning nervous energy during the day. My doctor said it usually comes on at night because it is a reaction to your brain's sleepy time chemical mix.

hmm, not sure if it is that, the more i think about it, the more it feels "hyper extended" when relaxed straight.

so, "hollow" and "hyper extended" whats that spring to mind?

ok to recap -

when straight, my leg feels hyper extended, even when it isnt, and there is a slightly hollow feeling underneath the kneecap, possibly between the patella and the rest of the knee....

Good news please :-)
