Default Low back strain - would a weight belt aid recovery?

Got a little too aggressive with some lumbar stretching last night, and I think I strained some lumbar ligaments. Did the McKenzie extension exercises, which seemed to help. Going to lay off weights and try to take it easy the next couple of days.

Given that any further flexion would hinder recovery, would it be helpful to wear a weight belt? I don't use it for actual lifting, but since I have one around, it seems that it might prevent accidental flexion while I go about my day. And since I'd only wear it for 2 days (hopefully), I'm not so worried about the lower back muscles atrophying.
