Default How do I find the right Physical Therapist?

Well, I'm setting an appointment with an orthopedist here soon. I am fully suspecting that I'll be heading to see a physical therapist. After reading these forums, T-nation, etc. I'm hearing alot of issues with PT's who aren't making good recommendations, aren't getting to the root of the cause, and aren't solving problems. How do I know that I'm going to the right PT for me? Any questions to ask?

My concern is that they are going to look at my issues and instead of correcting them are going to give me a list of things that I can't do. Don't squat, don't run, don't bench press, etc.

If your orthopedist is into any athletic activity, chances are they've been injured before, and most likely have seen or worked with physical therapists in your area. Instead of asking them for a physical therapist to go to, ask them for the BEST physical therapist around.

If they don't know, then the orthopedist may not be the best for you either.
