Default Forearm/Elbow issues

Over the past several weeks, I've been experiencing an increasing amount of discomfort in my forearms and elbow (mainly my right arm). I have been doing alot of close grip pressing in the past couple weeks, not sure if that has something to do with it.

Ill try to describe the feeling. At first it was only when I was pressing, it was kind of a light pain/weakness in the right forearm going down to the elbow. Now in today's workout, when I take a firm grip on the barbell getting ready to bench press, or grab a heavy dumbbell for bent-over rows, I get a shooting pain down the forearm to the elbow. It's not a severe shooting pain, not enough to keep me from being able to do the exercise, its more frustrating than anything. I've also noticed the past week I will get a bit of discomfort when unscrewing a water bottle turning the steering wheel with my right arm.

Is this anything like tendonitis? I've been doing a strength program for the past 4 months, doing alot of heavy pressing and pulling and I'm thinking its just caught up to me.

I realize its hard to diagnose something over the internet, but any comments or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

There are several threads about this recently ... try elbow pain and tennis elbow (or something like that).

Ahh yeah I should have looked down the page a little.

It sounds similar to this thread:
Forearm/Elbow Injury?

The only difference is that my elbow/forearm does not feel bruised to the touch at all. I would say its more in my forearm than the elbow, and I feel it most when I grip something firmly (or make a tight fist), unscrew something, etc...

Does it still sound like lateral epicondylitis?

Could be. Try Bryan's protocol and see if it gets better.
Ice is also a good thing.
