Default Lowerback pump

My lower back when doing deads, rows, or squats gets an unreal lower back "pump" almost to the point where I cannot walk for a few minutes. This just started happening is it a hamstring tightness issue or is there something else?

Sounds like your lower back is working too hard. To me this would imply that your glutes might not be doing their fair share of the work with deads and squats. During seated cable rows you might feel your lower back a bit as a stabilizer ... as you would with squats and deads. But if you are feeling a "pump" that says to me that those muscles are doing work they are not designed to do.

Glutes before hams here.

There was a discussion recently about hyperextending the lower back, that you should deffinately ckeck out. I think there was some talk about making the hams and lowerback work harder to compensate for the lack of glute action. Any videos of a squat?
