Default Ice after Cortisone Injection?

Hey everyone,

I was recently diagnosed with an inflamed medial plica, and my doctor gave me a cortisone injection in the knee. He did say that I wouldn't have to decrease my workload, but I forgot to ask him whether or not I should ask the knee to increase the effectiveness of the anti-inflammation. For now, I've stopped all lower-body exercise, but would icing help, hurt, or neither? Thanks!

Icing should help. Certainly won't hurt.
