Default Diagnosed with Intersection Syndrome - any suggestions on therapy

Hey all,

I've had pain in my left wrist for a few years now, but it has gotten progressively worse in the last few months. The pain is a sharp pain, especially during standard push-ups, but also during motion when I was holding something. I've finally made an appointment and saw my doc today, he put me through a few motions and told me I have "Intersection Syndrome". I did some reading (Google is the Oracle in my Matrix) and found this article (Intersection Syndrome - Orthogate - Improving orthopedic care, education and research with Internet technologies) which pretty much sums up the pain I have. He gave me a shot of cortisone which almost immediately helped, and told me to ice, ibuprofin, and take it easy for a few days.

My questions is this: Does anyone have any therapy/rehab suggestions?

Thanks

Mac

I don't treat hand stuff much ... hopefully someone else will have an answer for you.
He didn't refer you to a hand therapist?

Julie,

I forgot to mention that by "doc" I meant my orthopedic surgeon, the same guy that helped me with my shoulder last year. He didn't mention anything about a hand specialist, he gave off the impression that he really understood what the issue was. I'm taking a wait-and-see approach, but so far its feeling much better.

Thanks for the feedback,

Mac
