Default Broken Leg Advice!!!

Hi All,
Newbie here!!
I was looking for some advice if anyone can help me.
I am an ex gymnast and have been a professional dancer for over 20 years and have recently fractured my knee in 2 places plus I had an operation with a pin and bone graft.
I have just had my leg taken out of plaster after 4 weeks and the doc's have said I cannot put any weight on my leg for a further month but I can swim and do bending and stretching movements.
As a person who is used to being active and sporty i'm going out of my head!!!
Anyway my question is does anyone know of any good exercises or advice to help speed up the recovery process - a miracle maybe!!!
Thanks everyone
Helen xx

didn't your doctor refer you to physical therapy - or not until you are weight bearing?

Even though I am from the United Kingdom I am currently living in Cyprus and the aftercare here is - well there is non!!!
Most people here do not refer you to a physio before or even after being able to put my leg down so I was looking to get some advice for myself if you know what I mean!

hmm, just wondering: can you find a physio on your own who can evaluate you in person and keep up with you as you progress? (just filling in until the smart people see this thread)

If you are to be NON weight bearing for the next four weeks, then there is a reason for that and you need to respect it. Sleep well. Eat well. And maintain your proper weight bearing status. Your body will heal appropriately. If you deviate from this, then it might take longer to heal.

Sorry!
