Default warm feeling in thigh/ham string

This is odd. A few weeks ago I've noticed that on some days I'll have these warm flashes that come and go. Always on my right side on the back of my thigh. It feels like if you sat down in a puddle of warm water. Sometimes it pulses...it's freaky. Doesn't hurt. Seems to be only after lifting days. I do mostly upper body work, for leg stuff I bike/skate to work so i don't do squats or anything.

Any ideas?

Sounds neurological. Any other paresthesias? Numbness? Pins and needles?

If I sit cross legged they do fall asleep easily. I did have a lower back injury a few years ago, forgot the numbers. It was more pronounced in the morning then quit. Nothing else for the rest of the day.

I'm going to start stretching in the am to see if that helps.

Focus on hip rotation stretches, specifically the pigeon stretch (search for it ... I've posted pictures before). Hold it for a good long while (1+ minutes) both sides.

This sounds like what I experienced in the beginning of my herniation injury. Be careful!
