Default Rectus Femoris Strain

Right Leg...

1. When did the pain begin? When doing lunges last thursday, felt something overstretch.
2. What were you doing at the time? Or did the pain come on gradually over time? First lunge Left Leg Forward, Right leg back
3. Where, anatomically, is the pain? Upper Rectus Femoris
4. What does the pain feel like? Slightly Aching
5. Pain is not bad at all
6. What motions make your pain worse? lunges
7. What, if anything, makes your pain better?
8. Does your pain radiate to any other part of your body? NO
9. What things could you do before, that you cannot do now because of your injury? lunges
10. What is your main concern regarding the pain and its consequences?
Mainly what caused it. And how to prevent in the future
11. Have you ever injured that part of your body before? If so, how? NO
12. Is your pain getting worse over time? And if so, how much worse over what time period? Improving

My main concern is why this happened and how to prevent in the future.

Who knows why ... hard to say without video or being present when it occurred!

To prevent in the future, be sure to stretch regularly and have a proper dynamic warmup which also targets quads and hip flexors (since RF functions as both).
