Default lower back cramps

lately for some reason i have been getting cramps in my lower back when i do static lunges. i started doing them in the corner of my gym so i can see my reflection from both the front and the side to make sure my posture is correct and it is. i can't see any reason why this should happen. so i guess i am just wondering if any of you have ever had this happen or what is the fix for cramping?

should i just go down in weight?

Where in your lower back? Both sides? Symmetrical? Does it radiate anywhere else?

its on both sides down where the waist band of my pants is and it doesn't radiate. i was thinking it might be that my lower back muscles are trying to keep my back straight and stable against the weight. if that makes any sense. i was fine until about a week and a half ago when i went up to 60 lbs for 2 sets of 15 reps/ leg. it cramped up and i had to put the weights down. it was sore the next morning but felt fine by the afternoon. so i went back to the gym a few days later and the same thing happened but it happened at the end of my 2nd set so i was able to finish.

What program are you currently doing?
What do you do for mobility/stretching?
Do you foam roll?

NROL
Kung Fu stretches me pretty good and i stretch after any physical activity i do otherwise.
and no i dont foam roll. my wife bought a foam roller and it had all these examples of how to use it and i tried them all and rolled different parts of my body and it didn't feel like i was doing anything. she says it normally hurts. but even with all my weight on it it felt like nothing was happening. maybe i did it wrong.

Hmmm ...

Try
1. Prone on elbows x 5 minutes.

If no pain after that, then progress to ...
2. Press Ups x 10

How's your core strength? Can you plank for 2 minutes?

core strength is ok. i can plank for 2 minutes but i don't like to . maybe its a hydration issue. its wierd bc i do all sorts of exercises and my back is ok but its just the lunges. i am going to get a trainer to look at me. maybe i am leaning back or somethign and i just can't tell. i look straight to me in the mirror but maybe when i look over to see my profile i am straightening up without realizing it and then going back to a bent waist when i look at my front to watch my knee. i dunno.
