Default client question

I currently have a client that is complaining that he feels his muscles tense up in his left posterior deltoid area everytime doing any lift. He says it doesnt hurt but just feels it flex everytime he does benchpress, deadlift, incline, decline press, db curls, etc. He has good technique and is a pretty experienced exerciser. I was thinking this could be a posture problem but everything looks fine to me. Could this be a muscle imbalance or am I just missing something?? Any ideas??

Thanks

It sounds like his posterior delt may be firing in order to compensate for a lack of activation in one or more of the muscles needed to perform the movement. By no means am I an expert in MAT, but from what I know, eventually this may cause pain due to a small muscle attempting to do the work of the primary movers.

So this could be a muscle imbalance...it doesn't hurt him he can just feel it contract whenever he does any lifts...from bench press to biceps curl.
