Default Tricep pain - won't go away

Help! I had a big workout a couple weeks ago, did some lying tricep extensions, and pull ups... and next day was sore in my left tricep - not the back muscle, the mid one that runs up into the shoulder. I stretched lots, even went to physio a few times, and it is still nagging. It feels like it is 'worked out' sore, but all the time??? I haven't worked out for a week now, or done any activity to aggrevate it, but it still hurts?

Pain is often a liar, meaning that where we hurt is not necessarily the source of the injury. Pain is often referred.

What movements hurt? Shoulder movements and elbow movements?
Does it hurt to turn your head either way or tip it to the side or look up or down?
Does it hurt to lie on that side?
Any numbness or pins and needles?

This is a common location for referred shoulder pain. If it has not subsided in a few days, you should get it checked by a qualified professional (in person).

It could be inflammation from impingement (sounds like your supraspinatus) or it could be something else.

For now ice and rest and see how it is in a few days.
