Default Knee Pain

My father is 52 and has an annoying pain in his right knee. It started happening just when he would wake up and walk for exercise. But it has become more aggravated lately and is hurting him most all day unless he is sitting or laying down. He has been to his doctor a couple of times and at first the doctor prescribed him ibuprofen 800 milligram tablets. The next time he gave him a cortisone shot. He has had X-Rays and they can't find anything actually wrong with it. Does anyone know of any helpful suggestions that I could give him. I was thinking about recommending that start taking some glucosamine and possibly fish oil to help.

He should probably ask his doctor for a referral to physical therapy.

With the information you've given it could be just about anything.
