Default Adductor Magnus

I notice in the days after doing deadlifts (of all sorts) that my adductor magnus muscle gets quite sore. I know the magnus is a synergist with the glutes and hamstrings, but I fear my adductor magnus tries to do more of the lifting than it should -- and it is quite tight.

In addition to glute activation exercises (and hip flexor stretches) before deadlifting, should I also statically stretch the adductor magnus to turn it off a bit. If so, what stretches would you recommend? If not, what can I do in the off times to undue some of the tightness in that muscle.

Thanks!

Best,
K-dog

The moment arm for the Add mag increases as the hip flexes while glute max's actually decreases. Add mag recruitment also increases with increased stance width. I think what you're experiencing is quite normal, so don't sweat it.

If you are techically sound and have no observable issues with hip mobility in performing the deadlift, leave it alone and train.
