Default Levator Scapulae Problem

1. I'm pretty sure the pain started the first time I started a new workout with dips.
2. I didn't really notice the pain until the day after my workout. It was noticeable as soon as I woke up
3. The pain seems to be coming from the Levator Scapulae on my left side
4. The pain is fairly sharp
5. I only feel pain when I do certian things like reach around the scratch my back (around the side, not over the back)
6. I can feel a little twinge when I bring bumbbells up to my chest for incline presses, at the top motion of pull ups. It's really painful if I try to do dips
7. The pain seems to lessen after a day of rest.
8. No radiation to other parts of the body
9. I can't do dips!
10. My main concern is not being able to do an effective workout.
11. I've never had an issue in this area before
12. The pain is definitely not getting worse. I think I just keep aggravating it be workout that area.

How long ago was this?
Does it hurt if you turn your head to either side or look up or down?
What's your posture like?

It's been about two weeks since I first started feeling pain. I have no pain when moving my neck in any direction. I would have to say my posture is slightly slouched. Could that be contributor?

Absolutely ... it sounds like a neck issue ... probably a facet joint problem ... might be good to get it checked in person by a professional.
