Default a pain in my shoulder

i got this pain in my right shoulder somewhere... (im a lefty)
it hurts only when i lift or stretch in a certain way
it hurts very lightly but still...
i think it started last week when i started to bench press with a very wide grip (i felt it was working best that way)

do you think that has something to do with it?
maybe a nerve is being pinched or something?
or maybe i just lifted too heavy one day?
...

I'd love to help, but your post is a little vague ... you have pain, but only lightly ... it only hurts when you move a certain way ... and you think it was injured during wide grip bench press ...

Can you please read the sticky at the top of the forum and answer the questions?

1. The pain began last week i guess... thats when i noticed it
2. i woke up one day and found right arm hurting... i think i was bench pressing the day before it started
3. um.... its hard to say i think its in my elbow or around it.. it hurts sometime when i lift things above my head (it hurts when i do the motion once i stop moving it it goes away)
4. its a dull pain and is not bothering me a lot yet... and after lifting with my arm a few times it goes away.. until i stop lifting then i feel it a little soar
5. i hurts usually only under some stress but sometimes i could move my arms in a funny way and it hurts
6. raising my arm straight above my head makes it hurt on the way up -once its above my head it stops hurting
7. most of the day its fine though i may feel it all of the sudden reminding me that its there
8. it does not bother any other part of my body
9. i could still use it perfectly but with a bit of pain in some chores
10. i hope its just a minor injury and will heal... im not sure if i have to stop working out though... i work out every two days now (so if i work out sunday i would work out again on Wednesday)
11. it feels almost like its a pulled muscle but just a bit more pain so i dunno...
12. it has not gotten worse..... yet

there i hope i filled that out right

Ummm ... is it your elbow or shoulder? Could you maybe find a picture and photoshop in an arrow or something?

As of right now my advice is use some ice, and see a medical professional if it is not better in a few days ...

the pain has not gone away
i found it today
when i hold my arm to my side perpendicular to the ground
then raise it up (without bending the elbow) a little so its on a slant
then i bend the elbow
on the way up the elbow hurts especially if im holding something

like dumbells
it hurts my shoulder as i bring them up

ok
it seems i cant pinpoint the location but i can tell you in what exercises it hurts

there 2 places that hurt
my elbow seems to hurt when i do curls and sometime it flares outward to avoid the pain

my shoulder hurts when i do exercises for external rotation

?? ...
I should point to where it hurts in the picture?
under my elbow on my forearm
the outer part of my shoulder towards my back
should I stop working out for a bit

Yes, please point to where it hurts, or photoshop in some arrows or something because I cannot determine what is causing your pain, or even where it is from your descriptions. I am trying to help you, but am having difficulty.

If it hurts to workout, then yes, I would stop.

Have you seen a doctor for this?
