Default Upper back pain performing Deadlifts

Hello everyone,

I have been doing the NROL routine for 2 months with noticeable improvements but I am struggling with the Dealift. I am getting a sharp pain that feels as though it is on the inside edge of my shoulder blade. At first I thought it was caused by the placement of the bar during squats but I have now realised it is at its worst when lifting the barbell off the floor when deadlifting.

I can feel a slight numb pain when moving my right arm which worsens if I am sat down for long periods. However I can feel the pain more sharply when moving my neck from side to side (especially when I move it to the left). It also hurts (sharp pain) when I breath in deeply and twist my upper body to the left.

Please help as I very keen to continue onto the next stage.

You need to see a medical professional ... it could be several things, but nothing that can be treated/diagnosed over the internet. My recommendation would be to either see an orthopedist or to start with your general practitioner.
