External Rotation
I have an interesting client on my hands. She is a young girl, only 2nd year in undergrad I believe. She is overweight and looking to get into shape. Her feet when standing are rotated outward almost 45 degrees. When I have her do lunges or squats she can't line her feet up straight. If she does a bodyweight squat she it hurts her legs and she turns her foot so it's 90 degrees (right foot would literally be point to the right laterally) and then like force more external rotation. Basically she turns her foot sideways, plants it, and then forces a stretch because it hurts her to turn them in closer than normal. It's really bizarre how far she can turn her feet and when she stretches them out.
I feel like this is something I need to address but I'm not sure how to approach it becuase anything with her feet in normal alignment hurts her legs.

If my description wasn't clear about her foot placement, i can make a picture showing it.
