I'll make sure to keep you guys updated

Thanks a million for everyones advice
One more thing...ask your doc about lifting. It was 2 months before I knew my ACL was torn and by that point the swelling had disappeared (I never noticed much to begin with) and I was lifting normally again. The surgeon told me to keep squatting/DLing, etc... pre-surgery as long as there was no pain b/c it would make rehab easier later.

I'm back with some updates on my knee surgery and recovery:

The surgery occurred on Oct. 23rd and luckily everything went pretty well.

I started physical therapy 3 weeks afterward and have been going twice a week since then. I told my PT my goal was to go snowboarding before the end of this season. With her help and a lot of hard work she thinks I should be good to go snowboarding in February. My knee is feeling pretty damn good. My PT said she'd never seen someone progress as rapidly as I have these past 2.5 months. She had me doing a lot of body weight multi plane leg movements and recently started doing heavier resistance training (leg presses, curls, extensions, lunges, etc). I gained some body fat from the whole ordeal but I'm on a mission to get back to and surpass my pre injury physical condition. I'm currently 180 ~12%bf. my goal will be 170 lbs 7%.

I owe my speedy recovery to the pre surgery rehabilitation advice given by you all.

Thanks again for all your help!
