Default sharp pain in knee cap

my last workout was monday for NROL HT 2 5x6 lower body...deads , lunges, and step ups. yesterday my entire right leg felt a little unusual, nothing severe but definitely a little tight. i played ultimate frisbee last night and got home to realize my right knee was extremely sore. at a certain point when i bend it, severe pain shoots through the center of my cap. i can even feel it when i walk normally. unfortunately i have a triathon this sunday and i am worried that this pain will stop me. any idea what might be going on with my knee and any advice on what to do between now and sunday to try and best prepare myself to race? thanks all!

One race is not worth the possibility of permanent problems. I know how it feels to train for something and then have an inury "get in the way". It sucks.

You HAVE to get it evaluated by a doctor before the race or dump the race.
