Default How can I get rid of click in left elbow?

Hello,
I have been doing weights now for a few months and was thinking it would go away after getting used to it, but it hasn't. The problem I have is with my left elbow. Basically I have found that for something like a dumbell bench press, if I bring the weight down so my upper arm and my forearm are less than 90 degrees than I feel a click. The click in itself isn't painfull, but if I keep letting it click then it will start hurting. When it is sore afterwords the pain is on the tricept side of the elbow, and the pain is a general heat kind of pain. Is it doing this because my left elbow is weaker than my right? What can I do to fix it?
Thanks,
CP

Here it is in Q&A format.
1. When did the pain begin?
When I started using free weights 3 months ago.

2. What were you doing at the time? Or did the pain come on gradually over time?
Since the start of free weights.

3. Where, anatomically, is the pain?
Looking at getbodysmart, it looks like the Tricepts Brachii Muscle: Medial Head on my left arm.

4. What does the pain feel like? Sharp? Dull? Aching? Stabbing? Shooting?
Goes from just a click, to a burning sensation.

5. Is the pain constant, or intermittent, or only on certain motions?
Mostly constant, but I can feel it a little more when I move elbow.

6. What motions make your pain worse?
Doing pressing type moves where my elbow has to flex more than 90 degrees.

7. What, if anything, makes your pain better?
Pain goes away after a few days of not working it out, and I will not feel any pain if I don't do any thing to make it click.

8. Does your pain radiate to any other part of your body?
No.

9. What things could you do before, that you cannot do now because of your injury?
I can't do a lot of exercises because it makes it click/hurt.

10. What is your main concern regarding the pain and its consequences?
Long term problems.

11. Have you ever injured that part of your body before? If so, how?
Never had any injury to this area.

12. Is your pain getting worse over time? And if so, how much worse over what time period?
Not yet.

Lots of things can click ... if it's bothersome, get it checked by an orthopedist.
