Default The Stick and I, and my forearm

The stick arrived via UPS today for soft tissue work. I plan on watching the video before using it heavily. Is it OK to do a few chin/pull ups on the way, or should I entirely quit until my fore arm feels better. Plus any advice on technique will be well accepted. I have high hopes of being able to do lots of chin ups and many pull ups. The ones I did during the NROL Strength workouts were fun, but put forearms out of commission.

Rob,
I use the Stick like crazy...I usually stick the targeted muscle and then stretch it.If yuo have to Stick a forearm, you may have to "anchor" thew Stick on something and apply pressure as your "roll" it on your muscle. It should be detailed in the video.
As for your chins, do you wrap yuor thumb around the bar? I don't wrap my thumbs and my chins reps have gone up. Usually, my biceps will fatigue before my back does during chin/pulls.

Which one(s) did you get? I'm interested to hear about your results with this. I've been trying to fashion something similar out of PVC pipe with little success and have even considered just buying a rolling pin

I got the whole package, not that much more. Two sticks (long and medium) and two doohickies (spot and foot)and the video, just over a hundred. The ergonomics of it looks near perfect, you can't duplicate this at home.

Thanks John - the medium actually has a rubber end to fit into a corner. I think I do wrap thumb - I will quit. What has stopped me usually in chin ups is the pain. Yesterday arm just bonked on pull ups - I take it thats a central nervous system command.
