Default Pulled Quad

I pulled my right quad slightly last night going from first to third in a softball game. If there's any swelling its so little that I really can't tell. Basically there's tightness and the muscle feels like it needs to be stretched and there's a little discomfort when making certain quick movements.

I've can't remember the last time I pulled a muscle. I realize that everyone's different and it all depends on how bad the muscle was strained but how long should I expect to be out of action with the leg, ballpark-ish?

I'm not looking for a diagnosis by any means, just some input from people who have pulled muscles and how long they had to take it easy before getting back in the game.

I pulled a quad a couple weeks ago wake boarding. Hurt like hell the rest of the day, but a couple days later I was fine to go again. Everyone is different though and really it's a feel thing. If you try to use it and it still hurts then wait another day. At least that's my philosophy when dealing with minor pulls, bumps and bruises

Yeah, at this point that's my plan. I was just looking for some input on how long I might be looking at.

Thanks for the post.

Ice it, and look if any alternative medicine practioner does eletrical stimulation. THAT really helps! You feel as if you have a new muscle the next day.
