Default Recovery Q re: Heat and Ice usage

So I'm fairly sure I already know the answer to this but want to make sure, if I'm using heat and ice on the muscles for recovery purposes I would use ice the day that I hit that group say 10minutes per hour, then the next day or 2 use heat for 15-30 minutes on that same group with some foam rolling...right?
Thanks,
Ned

I'm not sure I know the answer to this, but that sounds reasonable ... you are not icing because of injury, but just to promote speedier recovery?

Exactly it would just be for recovery, the ice I'm not so sure about, but I've been using heat for DOMS with success.

i've heard good things about contrast bathing but have only tried it half-hearted with cool/hot in the shower. Mel Siff used to talk about it with favor though.
