Default Strange sensation on anterior delts when bench pressing

While bench pressing today I felt a strange sensation on my left anterior delts. It's kinda hard to describe it. the best description of it is like a small electrical charge flowing through the anterior delt when I start to move the weight up from my chest. At about 3-4 inches off my chest, there is a discrepancy between the left side and the right side of the bar. The left side is markedly lower and slower to rise than the right. This hasn't happened before.

Is it possible that the left anterior delt isn't firing properly?

Sure it's possible. The big question is why.

Do you have long arms?
What does your grip look like?
Deltoids are still the primary muscle that low in the press...ever consider switching to Db or not going that low?
What did the whole routine look like before this happened?
How much weight are we talking about?
etc. etc.

Be more specific and you will most likely get a better answer.

And more importantly, why now?

The only thing different recently is that my left wrist isn't 100% as I think I sprained it somehow, and now I can't full extend it without some niggling pain

This has never been a problem before. The weight's relatively heavy for me, it's equal to my bodyweight (70kg).

My arms are relatively long, they reach just beyond my pants pockets

I use a 90/90 grip, and my form is like that described in the I/O manual

Before this I was doing Waterbury's SFM, and am now performing Waterbury's WM.
