Question Can't swim, can't lift weights, can only walk...

Good morning,

A friend of mine used to lift weights and swim for exercise. Due to an injury, he's under orders to only walk for exercise.

As you can imagine, this is a weeee bit frustrating. Are there any sites anyone can recommend for making walking profoundly enjoyable (as enjoyable as the former ways of working out)? Or are there any other methods of exercising that are low-impact enough I could suggest to my friend to ask his doctor about?

Thanks!

Barb

I'll bet having a friend walk with him, and you don't even have to talk much

I agree with RobLL as a great suggestion.

However, you haven't given us much else other than "medical orders to only walk". Presumably, there's a reason why he's been given this instruction, and I wouldn't start suggesting anything, with respect to "low-impact" exercise without knowing why.
