Default Weird feeling in the quad after accident

So as some of you know, i got hit by a car. Tore the lateral tendon that goes past the knee or something (they said its a tendon that stabalizes the knee)
anyways, i have to wear braces on my leg for 6 weeks. Now to the question.

After i got the brace on, sometimes, quite often my quad seems to contract and then let loose very fast, repeatedly, by itself. I think theres a word for it, but i dont know what it is in english, sorry
Im not really worried about it, but i just thought i could see if it is anything to worry about. It doesnt contract 100% and stay contracted, just a bit contracted for maybe half a second, then it lets go, then it contracts again, sometimes almost immediatly and sometimes it takes longer. You can see the quad moving when it contracts.

I suspect its got something to do with the injury i got or the fact that i cant bendt my knee due to the brace.

Sounds like a muscle spasm, maybe?

I looked it up in the dictionary. I think its called a twitch. You know, sometimes you get it in your eye (atleast i know alot of people who get it there) i think ive heard its a sign of not getting enough sleep

Probably a fasciculation ... nothing really to worry about ... be sure to mention it to your doctor, but I wouldn't worry about it ...
