Just discovered that there are different spellings for iontopherisis. Iontophoresis is one of them. (Doing searches for the latter gave me better info.)

I lump it under the ultrasound category for usefulness.

It's not good for everything, but I have gotten some good results with it when nothing else was working ...

I've been to the PT 5 times now. Each visit, he has done ultrasound. And I've done bands for internal & external rotator cuff, lateral raises in the scapular plane, DB Bench Shrugs for serretus anterior, and rows (things I had already been doing.) The last four times, he also did the Iontophoresis with vinegar.

Overall my shoulder has felt better, with only occasional pain. Of course, I'm not doing anything that could irritate it, so I'm not sure how much this has been helping. I told that to him tonight, and he said I could try doing a few things in the gym that would normally irritate it (taking it easy, of course.) I can give that a try, though I'm guessing that it will irritate it.

Other than giving you exercises, has he addressed the static and dynamic positioning of your scapula?

No, not at all. Is this somethign I can do, or would I need someone who udnerstands this to work with me. And if so, where could I find such a person?

I have PM'd you some articles, but you should take this up with your current PT ... if he is unaware of these techniques, then perhaps he will know someone locally who is "more in the know" about shoulders than him.
