Default back pain and ice/heat

So I was wrestling on friday night and ended up hurting my lower back when I bridged up too fast. I've been applying ice a couple times a day since and it has definately been helping. Now that it is after 3 days should I keep icing it, should I start applying heat, or start doing a combination of both?
Thanks,
Grad

I have had a lot of success with my athletes using both. With that said, if the ice is working, keep with it.

If you were my athlete, I would have you heat before the day's activities and ice after you are done. That includes workouts

Ice only for the first 48 hrs. After that, ice or heat depending on how you feel. Both work well for pain relief. If there's still lots of inflammation after two days, I'd stick with ice.
