Default Lordosis problem

Hello all,

I have an exagerated lordisis lower back curve according to the spinal specialist, it has been making my lower back feel tight especially when pushing in towards a lordosis position, I am slightly informed on posture in keeping my back straight, and hope to do alexandra technique soon, I have been told to keep that curve straight for all my workouts by my physitherpist, would this be wise for weight lifting too?

can anyone possibly suggest a book, dvd or something that can help me correct this problem, and a good all round workout plan to get me started.

lastly, anything I should be aware of (want to heal & stay injury free?

Thankyou

I don't think that the "alexander technique" is going to be aggressive enough to address the level of structural re-integration you are going to need. It's a little too gentle.

I would do a few methods which would include some myfacial release (sports therapy), some ART, daily mobility work (a la Magnificent Mobility), and a lot of patience.

I want to second the recommendation of the Magnificent Mobility DVD. I would also recommend Stuart McGill's books at www.backfitpro.com.

lovely stuff folks, I am most certainly gonna get Magnificent Mobility DVD for the stretches, stretching the hip is essential, I will also get Staurt McGill's book for the background information on the back and hopefully it has posture tips too, the physiotherapist said that there was no need for any therapy, just too make sure my posture is right, with the focus on keeping the lordosis curve straight, andto do that in exercising too, the physio has given me the go ahead to do any exercises keeping that in mind, i gusess that's called the neutral alignment.

....I was thinking of alexandra technique to get my daily posture habits right, therfore I can concentrate on the physical activities knowing that i'm not stressing my lower back anymore then I have which has caused the problem in the first place, altghough I see your point on the aggression.
.......the Neanderthal No More seems to addres what my problem is, I found the article very interesting.
Would anyone else care to comment if there are certain exercises I should stay clear of, or which will help me?
I guess i'm fit to do anyworkout, if not, Anyone care to give me a basic workout plan such as weights, cables core etc that I can do, I do have access to verstagen's new core book, S2B. and i'm prepared to buy anything else that may help me, please lettuce know.

thankyou
