Default Foot Injury

About five weeks ago I was hiking. My foot blew up to about twice normal size in about 20 minutes. I thought it was sprained or broken. My doctor diagnosed an infection and gave me antibiotics. The swelling went all the way up my right leg. The infection cleared but the swelling remained. Doctor said it was fluid. Told me to keep foot elevated as much as possible and prescribed lasix. Swelling now down to a donut around arch area of foot. I am getting frustrated and decided to start working out again today because part of this is obviously a weight loss issue. I am also monitoring my sodium intake. Any other suggestions?

Get the infection resolved and then return to your regular program. You may be delaying your recovery by training. Check with your doc and follow his/her instructions.
