Default Need aggressive Quad program

Hello - I am new to the forum and was impressed by what I saw. I had ACL surgery 8 years ago on my right knee- great graft with no problems - I do tend to overdo things(3 volleyball doubles tournaments in 8 days) which cause my knee to swell. Last October the swelling caused my knee to swell amd I was not able to use it for about 3 weeks. Unfortunately my quad muscle loses muscle mass extremely quickly - thus the right quad is a good 1.5 inches smaller than the left. I continued to play volleyball 4 times a week - What has happended is that the the right quad continues to get weaker as I over compensate with the left. I am to the point now where I cannot lift 20 lbs on a leg extension with the right knee/quad. Considering I am 6' 220lbs I am suprised the leg has not just given up. I have seen 2 orthos and they both said that PT is rather fruitless and instead I should be on an aggressive strength training progam - of course insurance does not cover this. I have sworn off my sports until I can get the strength back..I think it is a miracle that I am playing volleyball as well as I do considering I am doing everything off of 1 leg. So the question is..can someone point me in the right direction for a very aggressive program to get my right leg back in shape. I can work out any number of days a week and have access to almost anything. I just need a structured routine to get my strength back before a do any permanent damage to either leg. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
