Default Good Upper Body Workout? Torn Meniscus

I recently had surgery on my meniscus and I'm wondering if someone can help direct me to a workout that would promote my fat loss goals. It sucks because I can't build mass in my lower body to increase my metabolism, but I'll figure I'll do what I can.

I can't really put too much weight on my knee so seated rows, etc. would be out of the question right now. Other than that, can people offer me suggestions? I just don't want to get weak and fat while recovering from surgery.

P.S. Move post if necessary.
