Default My first ART session... wow!

All,

I had my first ART session with a chiropractor last night, and all I can say is WOW! After putting me through the examination which lasted a good half hour he came to th same exact conclusion as my orthopedic surgen about my shoulder, as well as finding some additional problem areas. He proceeded to put some stimultion pads on a few points on my back and left me in there for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes he came back and found A LOT of really painful muscle points in my upper, middle and lower back. Accoring to him my rhomboids and my glutes were a complete mess. He found one very tender spot in my shoulder which was exactly where the pain radiates from when I do any overhead presses. He then proceeded to inflict some seriuos pain by rubbing each sore spot. After about 20 minutes of Mac whimpering like a little girl he put me through some stretches and told me to go home.

I woke up this morning and to my surprise I feel great. The nagging pain in my upper back and left shoulder has really gone down, now I just feel like I've been worked over by a rolling pin

I found this guy thanks to the Link Danny (DKing) provided in a previuos post. This guy is the chiropractor to the Philly Flyers, Fantoms and the Rutgers Camden sports teams.

I just wanted to share my first hand opinion of ART and let everyone know that if you can find someone local to give it it try. Well worth the time and money.

I apologize if the post rambled a bit but I'm working on my first cup of coffee.

Mac

Glad to hear it worked out for you Mac. It sounds like you found a good one. Just wait and see if he ever works on your subcapularis...wow is that an interesting experience.

Chi-sao - Just follow the link Mac put up and find a guy around you. Try to find a guy who has at least Upper, Lower, and Spine and its even better if they have the biomechanics too.

Danny

this looks like the best thing for me as i've read in the 'how can art help you' that the problems can be felt. when i get a massage i can actually sit correctly and do things alot more easily, but the physical therapist doesn't seem to understand me as they keep doing ultrasound and electronic stimulation (and it hasn't helped in months.)

Guys,

Glad the linked helped you guys out. I was psyched when I only had to give my copay, I would go 3 times per week if it was 100% covered

Hope it helps you guys like it has helped me. After three sessions my shoulder feels like brand new, and my neck and back are almost pain free.

Take it easy

Mac
