Upper Back Pain while sleeping
The last couple of nights I have woken up at about 4am with some major pain running through my mid back (right below shoulder blade level). If I get up out of bed, usually in about an hour or so, the pain is gone. Also icing the area seems to help as well. While in bed the most comfortable position to be in is on my side. Stomach is the absolute worst place for me to sleep.
A few weeks back I went to the chiro because I had a shooting pain in about the same spot when I coughed or sneezed. Doctor gave me a couple of adjustments and I was fine.
Any ideas on what is causing this because and how I can fix it? From what I've read it might be related to some type of shoulder issue or muscle issue. This week has been an off week for lifting, only lifted on Monday, which makes me think that it might not have to do with working out, but still possible. I've been more back work then I normally do (pull-ups and barbell rows) and I wonder if that has had some effect.
Thanks,
Chris D.
