Default Sprained ankle + torn meniscus = This Sucks

I know with the sprain there is pretty much nothing to do except the exercises that the doc said to do. And I'm soon making an appointment with a specialist regarding my torn meniscus.
Just wondering what others' experiences with these injuries have been like?

sprain : make sure it really heals before testing it too much again.. I didn't and it took a good (bad) 8 years to really completely go away.

good luck!

how did it happen?

I had my knee scoped for a torn meniscus last year, and I've come back since and hit bigger numbers in all my lifts w/in 7 or 8 months of the surgery (and I was a little "slow" in getting back d/t work obligations!)

Good luck!

Stay strong

Heh... I remedied that title Bill. I do like for our fitness experts to be easily identified!

Anyone who doesn't know who Mike Robertson is, needs to read more. I cut my teeth on his articles, quote them heavily on MH and use them to design my workouts.

Cynic -

You are far too kind; thanks for the positive feedback and as I said before, let me know if there's anything I can do to help!

good to know theses aren't necessarily life-long obstacles... hopefully my healing goes well. (oh and, I got both of these injuries from dancing.... breakdancing, isnt the irony delicious?)
