Default How to choose a Physical Therapist?

I've been suffering from shoulder pain for the last 8 weeks. I need a physical therapist who is going to help me stay out of the operating room and will help me design a workout going forward to gain back all the strength I've lost. I want somebody who will educate me about what I should and shouldn't be doing outside of the PT sessions. Somebody like Bill!

Maybe if I had somebody like that in the beginning, I wouldn't have been doing dips with bad shoulders!

What should go into my decision for choosing a physical therapist? Or, if anybody can recommend a PT in New York City (I'm in the village), that would be great!

Call Ming Chu.

He's a PT, ART guy, and champion bodybuilder in NYC. Joe Dowdell is an excellent trainer at Peak Performance also in NYC.

Bill - can u suggest a physical therapist in the washington dc metro area? I have recurring lower back pain (specifically SI Joint dysfunction). I've been through quite a few treatments of Prolotherapy and seen some success but I feel like I need to retrain the muscle imbalances that have developed over the past 2 years.

thanks
