Default Bill can you make my back stop cramping?

Okay this has been going on for almost two months. Not sure whats going on. Its not really painful, but its damn annoying and I am pretty sure was the cause of the back muscle strain I had a couple weeks ago. Its major cramping/knotting in my left low back, this region:

Its relativly deep and it feels like I have some tightness issues that are pulling on the muscles there. I have talked to my ART guy about it and he has been trying to fix it but so far we haven't figured it out. When he ARTed my left glute medius it was damn tight and bound but that didn't seem to solve the problem.

I can't quite figure out what irritates it either. I can do rotational exercises, hip extension exercises, and squats without problem but the tightness is always there. If it does get irritated, seemingly at random, it pulls my pelvis off and thats when I strained a couple muscles.

Thank you sir.

Danny

I think I have this same thing. I posted a topic about it also. Except, mine is on the right side. Does yours hurt if you are standing and you try to arch your lower back and tip your pelvis forward???

Boss - Bill actually fixed me up. My problem was some serious adhesions/tightness in the oblique/QL on my left side. Yes both of those movements occasionally hurt, but my problem was pretty weird in that only at random times would it hurt.

I think you guys are talking about my problem, too. I had no idea I had lower back issues until I started strength training and then POW something strained itself in the place Chick Magnet points out, and it had cramps and misery abounding, requiring a tearful visit to the doc and ingestion of all the pain killers in the world plus some of those little moth sleeping pills.

But that was six months ago. I'm "in remission" or whatever. But I have the same stiffness you guys describe, when I go to straighten or stand after leaning forward.

I'm trying to be more conscious of never hunching at the throwing wheel (I do pottery) and while I ride my bike (endurance distance). And I sit on a Swiss ball at work and fidget like a kindergartner all day.
Also, I've added the standing lunge with rotation Bill showed us at Fitness Summit.

But this deficiency remains on my left side, and I suspect it of causing my chronic foot problems on that leg.
I will watch this thread diligently! Thank you guys for posting it.

I think its awesome I was just refered too as "chick magnet". I rule!

I am not sure if Bill will chime in here or not, the stuff he did to me was at the summit, not over the computer so I am not sure how much help I can be. If you have the same feeling though, find and ART guy and have him check the region out. When Bill ARTed (i think I just made up a word) my QL and oblique I almost cried but then felt way better.

Go to www.activerelease.com and then go to the provider locator. There's usually someone close by.
